Tell us a little something about your first car. Do you have any photos you can share?

Awe. Reminiscing about my first ever (and only) car makes me kind of emotional. It's sort of like ... the mascot of the best years of my life. A baby blue hunk of junk. 1980-something cavalier. Ugly as hell, but it took my best girl friends and I to many places, parties, concerts. It got us everywhere we needed to go. We had so many good times in that car. When field parties took place, we'd drive it right into the middle of the party, and my CAR would become the party. The VIP room if you will. Had one or two nights of restless sleep in it, ate lots of drunken McDonalds in it, had deep heart to hearts in it.
And then one day ... It just broke down, and the repairs were beyond what I could afford at that time. So I gave it to my best friend and she fixed it up and put it back on the road.
A few days after she had it on the road, I called her up from a party. Everyone was on ecstasy but me (go figure) and I was having the worst time ever. I was in the middle of nowhere, and everybody was rolling and talking my ear off and I just wanted to go home and go to bed. I called Danielle to come and pick me up, gave her the directions, and she was on her way in no time. (What a great friend <3). To make a long story short, she ended up totaling the car by driving it into a lake on her way to get me. (DON'T ASK!!!). =(
R.I.P. BFFL CAR.
What do you usually do on Sunday?
If I'm working, I usually take an extra half hour getting out of bed because I dread it about 70% more than any other day. If I'm NOT working ... then the whole day is dedicated to a wholesome breakfast, a whole lotta laundry, cleaning of the apartment, and at least one or two naps. Sundays just aren't the same when you can't fit in a nap. Followed by my Sunday night Television. Big Brother, Family Guy, and Intervention.
Yay for lazy Sundays.
My stomach just couldn't be satisfied today. I could have eaten an entire cow, and right afterward I probably would have gone to the kitchen, opened all of the cupboards (and the fridge) looking for something else. I must have done that about 10 times today. You know, when you're starving, but you're in dire need of groceries, and every half an hour or so when your stomach grumbles - you get up to see if anything has magically decided to make an appearance in your fridge or in your snack cupboard? UGH. Friday is pay day, and no matter how tight of a budget we are on ... I am buying some damn groceries. No more eating nonsense fattening crap because it's all we have left over or because it's cheap. I'm stocking up on fruits and veggies.
I cannot wait until B finishes his trade classes (sometime next month). I will be so thrilled when he can get into a union. We need benefits more than anything. We both haven't been to a dentist in over 4 years. And then when we start having a pretty good combined cash flow, it'll be nice to finally start looking for a new apartment (hopefully in the Toronto area). A pregnancy will have to come into the picture within the next 2 years, I hope. We hope. Looking to the future makes me feel good. It helps me realize that we won't always be stuck in such a horrible rut.
I have tomorrow off and I'm definitely sleeping in. And then ... laundry & cleaning. I think I might also attempt to make something different for dinner. I have 2 pounds of ground beef in the freezer that needs to be used, so we'll see what I can come up with. Should be interesting.
I'm a little torn on where to blog when I'm in the mood. Here, or LJ? I don't know. VOX wins tonight, because it seems like there have been WAY more updates on vox in the past 24 hours then my livejournal friends page has had in the past week. Doh.
I'm bored. Super bored. It's Monday, but it's like MY Friday because I have the next two days off. And of course, no one is ever up for chilling on my "weekends" because ... well, they're not really weekends and everybody works throughout the week. I NEVER get weekends off. It's depressing. I feel like I miss out on everything fun because I have to go home early for bed.
The net is boring tonight. I'm going to go look at furniture websites ... because I'm getting old and I have no life. Is it sad that I got excited today when I found out it only costs $27 to rent a carpet shampooer for 2 days?? I need to be saved.
If you could be on any reality TV show, which one would you pick and why?
BIG BROTHER! For sure. I'm a reality TV addict. Ever since Survivor first came out. Was it Survivor first or Big Brother? Either way, I was hooked from the start. I think I'd do really well in the BB household. I know, it probably looks much easier than it really is. But I have some secret strategies that I won't list here because if I ever get invited to be in BB someone might take them out from under me. *points fingers* Haha, jk. =P Or AM I!?
Ok ... I'm off to the dreaded physical. UGH. Someone kidnap me.
